I won’t play coy and string you along. I will just expound on my reasons in my choice for our new storage then give you the answer you have waited for.
This report is where I describe the hardware and guest operating systems in a different format and include the output from bonnie++ and Postmark. I opted to skip the Iometer benchmarks because then this post would just be multiple screenshots or I would need to parse it all into graphs.
Does it perform within the parameters set (see below)? Can I measure objectively? What changed parameters caused differences in expected output? Are all features included or must I make a compromise? Is it easy to manage? Can I expect someone else to manage this? Does it fit with my long-term goals? Can it scale with my needs? Is there anybody out there?
