Using our local mirror server for Ubuntu 10.04

Say you wanted to update your Ubuntu 10.04 LTS system to use our repository (recently upgraded).

Just follow these simple instructions and you’ll be using our repository for your updates. Don’t worry, Ubuntu’s update system will fall back to their repositories as needed.

If you are using VMware vSphere then look at the end are some instructions on how you can install tools from VMware’s official repository.

Replace /etc/apt/sources.list with the quoted text below.

Then run the following commands:

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
