Apple Matters website

While I have been reading the Apple Matters website recently, I may been a little overly negative towards them.

I thank Mr. Siebold for coming on by and leaving a comment that was no where near as antagonistic as I was in my posting. I will endeavor to be a little more even keeled in my own responses.
I do feel, though, that my thoughts are not all that far offbase. Computing bigotry needs to end. This whole my operating system is better than yours attitude needs to come to a screeching halt.

I am so sick and tired of the mine is better than your attitude that is so prevalent throughout the current interweb.

Embrace the different wants and needs of your fellow computing partners. Not everyone wants to run OS X, Linux, *BSD, or what have you, they just want to run what they are comfortable with, even if it is something you find abysmal.

Having the ability to run multiple operating systems on my Macs is kind of fun and allows me great flexibility in my day to day lifejob.

Using VMware, I can fire up test systems quickly by duplicating base installations and see how different software interacts on the server side.

Using what is available on my Mac today (virtualization software from Parallels, VirtualPC for my PPC based systems ) allow me to do test runs via different desktop and server operating systems on the systems I use most - my workstations.

Variety is good. In people, in computers, in life.
